I just finished watching yesterday’s episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life on OWN channel. The episode is called “Lotto Drama” and follows the 2015 Powerball winner Marie Holmes (27) who was a mother of 4 working at Walmart prior to her big win. Iyanla tries to help Marie manage all the new found pressure from her family and cope with her new lifestyle. Iyanla quickly realizes that Marie is depressed and cannot come to face her reality head on. All of her personal issues and the mentality developed in her previous physical life in poverty are still showing up in her current millionaire life. Iyanla says she was not prepared for her new-found wealth because of a lack of guidance and understanding. Then, Iyanla sits down with Marie’s mother who says it was actually her numbers that won the lottery, but she gave her ticket to Marie as a sacrifice of love.

This story is a prime example as to why we need to continuously enrich our minds to prepare ourselves for a better life and stay on track in the process. Having money can improve your life, but it does not change your thinking. Watch the video below to enrich your mind, become wiser about money & wealth, and help prepare yourself for your financial blessings.
Wealth is a state of mind, not a piece of paper ($$$).
